Notice the picture above — this is why I do not like pre-lit trees. This is year 3 taking my Christmas tree out of the box. After I put the tree together and saw all of the lights that were not working, I began to get a little angry. The more I focused on the two or three rows where the lights did not work, the more disappointed and angrier I became. My thoughts began to run rampant, with the enemy supplying much fuel to the fire.
All of a sudden, I heard the Lord speak softly and say, “Be Grateful.” My heart softened, and I began to thank Him that I owned a beautiful artificial tree. I had a tree when many others did not. Over and over I kept saying the words, “Thank you.” After a few minutes had passed by, gratefulness filled my heart, and anger and disappointment began to dissipate.
WORSHIP THE LORD
He told me to worship Him as I worked on the tree. I heard Him speak again, “We can fix it.” I put on some worship music and began to sing to Him. As I sang, I began to sense His presence in the room. My attitude changed because my thoughts were on Him and not on what I lacked.
When you have no idea what to do — Worship! Cry out to the Lord! Worship the Lord with all your heart. You will find that as you worship Him, your focus will change, and gratefulness will arise in your heart.
As I write this, I am reminded of when my kids were young. At times they would come to me crying that something was broken. I would console them and say, “It’s ok, your daddy can fix it.” Curtis would come home, take a look at the toy and somehow fix the unfixable.
YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER CAN FIX IT
Let me just say, your Heavenly Father can fix it, your Daddy can fix it. No matter what’s going wrong in your life, your Daddy can fix it!
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.Colossians 3:15 NKJV
When your relationships aren’t what you would like them to be, cry out to God! When your healing is one prayer away, continue praying and worship God! When the finances are lacking, worship God! You may not know what to do, but in one moment spent with your Heavenly Father, your circumstances can SUDDENLY change. God is the One who can change your life! Don’t run from Him, but run to Him. Ask Him to fix the things that are broken in your life.
Remember, Your Daddy can fix it!
